Rules & Safety

At Gila Hot Springs, we are committed to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Our rules are in place to facilitate this. Please take the time to read them entirely.

Gila Hot Springs is a private property. Disrespecting our rules, or any directions from our staff and attendants, is grounds for terminating your stay.

General Rules

  1. A quiet, respectful attitude is mandatory. Our campground has evolved into an area that appeals to those who like to listen to nature, not to music or raucous crowds. Consequently, no music (except acoustical) or rowdy behavior among adults or children is permitted.
  2. Checkout time is 11:00 A.M. You can arrive any time after that. Be considerate to other campers; please do not arrive after 10.00 P.M!
  3. Only passenger vehicles and small recreational vehicles are allowed. Campsites and roads are primarily designed for passenger vehicles. Small recreational vehicles are admissible only if self-contained and about 20′ in length.
  4. No generators allowed.
  5. Admission of groups larger than 8 people are subject to reservation with prior approval.
  6. No dishwashing in the water faucets and sprouts. Cold and hot water faucets are available in the pools area. Please carry the water back to your campsite for your use..
  7. No glass, food, or smoking at the pools for safety and sanitation reasons. Drinking water is OK and encouraged!
  8. No alcoholic beverages in the pool area or while walking around. Alcohol is permitted in your camp area only (please reference the NM Open Container Law).
  9. No firearms are to be discharged in the camping area.
  10. Campfires are limited to existing fire rings.
  11. Suits are mandatory in the pools during daylight. After dark, clothing may be optional, provided everyone in the pool are comfortable with this. All guests are expected to be respectful of others.

Daytime Use Rules and Restrictions

The following rules and restrictions apply to Daytime visitors only.

  1. Access hours restriction. Access is restricted to 9AM to 6PM.
  2. Group size limit. Group size is limited to a maximum of 6 persons.
  3. Maximum stay permitted. Stay on site is limited to a maximum of 2 hours.
  4. Use and access to the premises is subject to self-registration. Please see clipboard in registration trailer for instructions.

Rules for Pets

Gila Hot Springs strives to provide a relaxing environment while remaining pet-friendly.

  1. Look after your pets at all times.
  2. ONLY disciplined and quiet pets are allowed.
  3. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per group. Additional charges may apply.
  4. NO PETS in the pools. No exceptions at any time.
